The proposed new stadium in Phuentsholing is envisioned as a modern sporting and event venue with an estimated capacity of 5,000 spectators. Designed around a football ground planned to meet FIFA field standards, the stadium integrates tiered spectator seating, VIP viewing areas, ceremonial entrances, and dedicated public access points within a cohesive architectural layout. The building's elongated form frames the playing field, ensuring clear views of the pitch while accommodating the functional requirements of sporting events and large public gatherings.
The architectural expression combines contemporary stadium planning with Bhutanese-inspired façade elements, using rhythmic vertical detailing, warm tones, and traditional design influences to establish a distinctive local identity. The site layout incorporates organized parking, VIP vehicle access, landscaped surroundings, and separate circulation routes to support efficient crowd movement and event operations. Overall, the project aims to create a functional and recognizable sporting landmark for Phuentsholing, supporting football, community engagement, and the city's growing recreational needs.
